Midnight Black Turtle

An improved, upright growing black bean strain, sprawling less than other varieties. Pods retain dark purple color as they dry. This small black bean produces prolifically and can be used for soup, stew and refries. A popular bean in Mexico and South America, it is very tasty, later maturing than a pinto.
